To date, not one unaccompanied child has been transferred from Greece or Italy under the provisions made for the most vulnerable refugee children in Europe by the Dubs amendment.

the Home Office was forced to reveal that the only male teenagers it will accept from Calais under the Dubs amendment will be those who come from Sudan or Syria.

Over 1600 children from the Calais camp remain in France in temporary accommodation. Many have family here, hundreds more are eligible for sanctuary in the UK through the Dubs legislation.

Charities have today accused the Home Office of breaking its promises to vulnerable children by issuing guidance which bars most unaccompanied minors over the age of 12 from being brought to Britain.

Safe Passage is currently supporting over 40 live cases in France. All these children have now relocated away from Calais, including the four who had been unable to access to registration with the authorities in the container units and were driven away. 

We welcome the news that 14 unaccompanied children will be reunited with their families in the UK from Calais today by the government, with many more expected to arrive in the coming days ahead of the demolition of the camp.
