How your support changes child refugees’ lives
Too many children are stranded in dangerous camps across Europe or in war-torn countries, unable to reach family. Our lawyers are working tirelessly to bring them to safety and help them rebuild their lives with loved ones.
But as an independent organisation with no Government funding, this is only made possible by the support of ordinary people all across the UK and Europe who generously donate what they can to fund our vital legal and social work, and our bold campaigns. Watch this video to see just how far your support goes:
Persecution tore these two young girls from their dad, Hassad, for 10 long years. Facing danger for his work with the Afghan Border Police, Hassan had fled to protect his family — but he had no idea they’d be separated for so long. After a decade apart, they have finally reunited this year.
Years ago, Gloria fled political violence in Congo and made the gutwrenching decision to leave her young son with his grandparents to keep him safe. But after they passed away, Gloria lost track of him. After years of anguish, our lawyers helped them reunite in France — where they’re now living together, safe at last.
Shamsi* was just 17 when she lost her grandmother, who raised her in Somalia, and ended up in an abusive home. Facing the threat of forced marriage, she had no choice but to flee. But she spent months stranded in Cyprus, alone and sick. Our team helped her secure a visa to join her aunt in the UK, and she’s now thriving in her new life.

Safe Passage International is a charity that exists to open and defend safe routes for refugees, and help families torn apart by war and persecution to reunite safely.
We started in 2015, when volunteer lawyers in Calais helped unaccompanied children reunite with their families in the UK. Since then, we’ve grown into a movement spanning the UK, France and Greece, combining legal casework, grassroots campaigning, and political advocacy.
We’ve helped thousands of children and families find safety across Europe, and continue to fight for lasting change so no one has to risk their life to reach protection.

Your donations power everything we do, including:
Direct legal and social support – providing expert advice, representation and casework so refugees can reunite with family, access their rights, and settle into their new communities.
Policy change – campaigning and lobbying to challenge unfair rules, build public support for humane immigration policies and create safe, legal routes.
Youth engagement – training and supporting young refugees to campaign on issues that affect them directly and creating spaces for them to connect, share and speak up.
Capacity-building – training lawyers, child protection specialists, and frontline practitioners across Europe so more children and families can access family reunion rights.
We keep costs lean: for every £1 you donate, the majority goes directly into frontline casework, campaigning, and training, with only a small amount spent on fundraising and admin to keep our work sustainable.

All donations are processed through trusted, industry-standard payment systems that use the same level of security and encryption as banks. Your personal and financial details are protected by advanced encryption, and we never store or have access to your full payment information.
As a registered charity, we also follow strict UK charity law and financial regulations, so you can donate with confidence knowing your gift is safe and will be put straight to work helping refugees access safety.
