Unaccompanied child refugees in Europe are sleeping rough or living in desperately inadequate accommodation, while vulnerable to violence, abuse and trafficking.

But your generosity opens doors to safety - here's how you can help us raise funds to sustain our vital legal work with refugees.

Challenge yourself for refugees

Walk, swim, cycle or run in solidarity with the often long and dangerous journeys children refugees make to reach safety. Why not make your own sponsored journey and raise money for refugee children in the process?

Create for refugees

Do you have a hobby or skill? Then getting creative for refugees is the perfect way to put your skills to good use and raise money for refugees!

That’s exactly what Matilda, Temi and Hannah, the driving force behind Rail Sale For Change (RS4C), did.

RS4C is an initiative to raise funds for Grassroots charities supporting global issues through an online clothing sale via Instagram & Facebook. Throughout the year RS4C have been supporting Safe Passage organising clothing sales, raffles and even a fantastic festival complete with stall holders and live music. Not only have they raised thousands for our work, but they have brought awareness and helped build our profile with Oxford through campaigning and promoting our work on their channels.

Celebrate for refugees

Celebrate or commemorate important events by including a fundraising element for Safe Passage.

Carol’s cake sales have become a thing of tradition: every Christmas and Easter, with assistance from a friend, they bake and sell delicious treats at the hospital where they used to work. The pandemic has changed the way we fundraise, but Carol, armed with our contactless card reader and a car boot full of bakes has been able to raise even more during lockdown. The secret of a Covid - friendly cake sale? Lots of advertising to promote the sale, and get pre- orders for customers to collect on the day, or you can offer deliveries. Make tray bakes and small slices as well as larger cakes because they are easier to sell.

Chorleywood4Refugees organise an annual charity cream tea for us where they sell scones and other baked goods at their local train station in partnership with local Chorleywood schools. During the lockdown, they adapted to providing a delivery service and raised thousands of pounds!

Companies for refugees

Why not get your company involved with corporate fundraising to support refugees. Make us your charity partner like Campbell Tickell who pledged £12, 000! They became match funders in our BigGive Christmas campaign and took part in our 10k challenge for refugee week.
