Safe Passage: Ukraine Response

Safe Passage has never been more needed. War and conflict unfolding in Afghanistan, Ukraine, and elsewhere have driven more and more people to flee their homes. Half of the world’s refugees are children.

That's why today we're announcing our Ukraine Response Team.

Whilst new bespoke schemes have been set up for refugees fleeing Ukraine, many refugees are still struggling to access them over three months since the invasion.

We’re aware of hundreds of unaccompanied children whose applications are ‘on hold’ indefinitely, while others are shut out altogether because they don’t have the right paperwork or lack the legal support they need.

In response, Safe Passage will be deploying a small team to assist refugees in Poland who are unable to access safe routes to the UK. The project will initially run for 4 months, and will support our efforts to improve safe routes for those fleeing Ukraine and other conflicts.

We believe we have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of refugees with this project by doing what we do best at Safe Passage – legal work and advocacy to help people access safe routes where they’re most at risk.

We need your help.

If you can, please consider setting up a regular donation to help us meet the increased demands for our services so we can continue our work to help refugees reach safety.

Can’t commit to a regular donation? Don’t worry We accept one-off donations instead.
